I needed a chunk of wood for a small end table, and wound up at my local Rockler. I found exactly what I was looking for, but it’s a species of wood I’ve never encountered. It’s called “Misc. Slab Cutoff”.
It’s completely new to me. Anyone know where it grows? I saw a couple of other pieces, with a lot of variance in the color and grain. Looked it up online… can’t find anything about it <scratches head>.
I like it, whatever it is.
